DTN COMMENTS: The country is quiet this morning, following yesterdays
moderate business in the North with dressed deals at $163 to $165, mostly
$164 to $165, roughly $3 to $4 lower than last week's weighted averages, and
$1 to $2 lower than earlier in the week. A light trade took place in the
South at $106, generally steady with the bulk of the rest of the week's
deals. Asking prices are around $107 plus in the South, and hard to find in
the North. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower with light to moderate box
movement.
