DTN COMMENTS: A few scattered bids are now on the table, and packer inquiry
should continue improve as the day progresses. Asking prices are around $122
to $124 in the South and $200 to $205 in the North. A very light scattered
trade took place in parts of the South late yesterday afternoon at mostly
$121, $.50 to $1 higher than last week's weighted averages, most sellers
continued to hold out for higher money. Beef cutouts are expected to be
higher with light to moderate box movement.
